Case 1256 OVI

Client stopped for not having a license plate light. Officer smelled a strong odor of alcohol and client admitted to drinking beer. Client had red and glassy eyes and slurred speech. Client failed the eye test, but did not perform the one leg stand or walk and turn tests. Client refused the portable breath test and the breath test back at the police station. Client cited for OVI in 6, No License Plate Light and No Seatbelt

 

Client attended the 3 day alcohol school and negotiations with the prosecutor resulted in a conviction for Physical Control, credit for the alcohol school, $375 fine, and a 1 year license suspension. 0 points were assessed on the license.
