Client was drinking and driving and wrecked car. Passengers were severely injured. Client was indicted on several charges, among them was Aggravated Vehicular Assault and OVI. Client faced up to 5 years in prison.
Negotiations with the prosecutor resulted for a conviction for Vehicular Assault. Mitigation was planned and presented to the court resulting in 30 days of local jail, all with work release, no fine, and a 1 year license suspension. OVI penalties were imposed concurrent with Vehicular Assault penalties.
