Officers responded to a residence from a tip of an under age party. Officers engaged in surveillance and determined that marijuana was also involved/ Officers were unable to get a search warrant. Officers staged up of site and watched the property. Several hours later, client left the party with friends and were confronted by the officers. Client smelled of alcohol and ultimately admitted to drinking under age. Client was cited with Underage Consumption of alcohol.
An issue arose as to where client had actually consumed alcohol. Negotiations with the prosecutor resulted in a conviction for Disorderly Conduct with a $35 fine.
