Case 1246 Possesion of Marijuana

Client’s license plate was randomly checked by the Highway Patrol. The registered owner came back as suspended. The officer investigated and found client to be driving without a license as a result of a Physical Control conviction. Client’s passenger (who also became a client) had Marijuana and a Marijuana Pipe on self. Citation for client driver was for Driving Under Suspension and faced mandatory jail. Client passenger was cited for Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Paraphernalia.

 

While the case was pending, client driver was able to get a valid license and clear the suspension. Negotiations with the prosecutor resulted in a conviction for No Operators License, with a $100 fine. Client passenger was convicted of Possession of Marijuana with a $100 fine and a 6 month license suspension.
