Case 1242 Possesion of Marijuana and Paraphernalia

Officers found client backed into a pole in a parking lot. Client smelled of alcohol and was administered and failed the sobriety tests. Client tested .158 on the breath test. Client cited for OVI, Improper Backing and Possession of Marijuana and Paraphernalia.

4 hours later, police responded to the scene of a hit and run accident. Client was found near the scene with his vehicle. Client required medical treatment. Client refused an alcohol test. Client cited with OVI, Failure to Control, Leaving the Scene of an Accident and Driving Under Suspension.

Various legal issues were explored during the pretrials.

Client attended a 3-day alcohol school prior to plea, and negotiations with the prosecutor resulted in conviction for OVI and Improper Backing. Client received credit for attending the 3 day school, a total of $525 in fines, and a 6 month license suspension.
