Client was cited for causing an accident on I-75. Witness said that client veered out of his lane and hit her (witness’) car. Both cars were traveling in the same direction. Trooper found client by tracing his plate and the vehicle description given from witness. Client denied hitting witness. Client’s insurance company reviewed the accident damage and felt that damage was not caused by client. Client’s vehicle had damage, but insurance company didn’t think it was from this “accident”. Client was cited for Leaving the Scene of an Accident and Marked Lanes.
After several months of negotiations, the Leaving the Scene of an Accident was dismissed. Client opted to plead No Contest to Marked Lanes instead of going to trial (Leaving the Scene was the charge client couldn’t have). Client received a $50 fine.
