3 Year Suspension Reduced to 12 Days

Client was stopped for crossing the white line while making a turn.  Client did not immediately stop when the officer put on the overhead lights.  Client had glassy bloodshot eyes and an odor of alcohol.  Client admitted to drinking beer. The only sobriety test given was the eye test.  Client refused the breath test.  Client was cited for OVI, Marked Lanes, and Fleeing and Eluding (a nasty charge).

Prior to his court date, I had client complete the 3 day alcohol school.  Negotiations with the State resulted in a conviction for Physical Control, the 3 day alcohol school, $1,000 fine, 0 points assessed, no license suspensions and no reinstatement fees.  The fleeing and Eluding charge was amended to Obstruction of Official Business with a $250 fine.

Client was facing a minimum license suspension of 3 years with no privileges for 6 months.  Client only served a 12 day suspension, which was removed from his record, after his case was completed.
